This tool will generate Morse code sound from text to play in the page or to download. It is for those people learning CW and includes advanced timing controls. The Morse Code Translator is a simpler tool for general use.
Text to CW
Just type letters, numbers and punctuation into the "Input" box and press the "Play" button. Prosigns can be entered with angle brackets (e.g. <BT>). Any untranslatable characters will be highlighted for easy removal. This tool does not take dots and dashes as input; please use the standard Morse Code Translator for that.
Items in the "History" display may be replayed using the mini play buttons. Individual words in a sentence may be replayed by clicking on the word tile.
Help on the Morse Controls (Timing) is available. It is possible to control and change the timing and pitch using "tags". The tags change parameters within a single message, work relative to the initial values and do not affect the user's settings. The tag format is described on the help page.
The message duration shown does not include the "start-up delay" or "download end-gap" which are both set in the Morse Controls pop-up.
